KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WHAT WORKS
We work together with research and development to improve our knowledge about the impact of different natural supplements on the body.
HIGH QUALITY STANDARDS
We only offer carefully selected products. In our selection process we strongly focus on purity and bioavailability.
FAIRNESS FROM A TO Z
We keep a very close relationship with our suppliers. We know the roots of our products as well as the working conditions attached to it. That's how we guarantee a fair process along the whole value chain.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CBD
What is it and what does it do to our body?
We all have a home for CBD inside our body...
ORIGIN: HEMP PLANT
For the extraction of CBD, hemp plants with high levels of CBD and low levels of THC (below 0,3% Tetrahydrocannabinol) are being cultivated. Thus, CBD is non-psychoactive.
CAPSULE CONTENT
Cannabidiol (the concentration per capsule varies from around 10-50 %) mixed with a carrier oil, mostly hemp oil.
OUR ENDOCANNABINOID-SYSTEM
In the 1980s, scientists found out that we have a whole system that is responsible for balancing our body - the Endocannabinoid System. So far, two receptors have been detected: CB1 receptors located in the Central Nervous System and CB1 receptors in the immune-, digestive- and reproduction-system as well as in our lungs, skin, bones and hormonal glands. Our own body produces cannabinoids. Those attach to the receptors like a key to a lock and trigger a series of biochemical processes within our body. The goal of the whole Endocannabinoid System is homeostasis (regaining balance).
CBD IN OUR BODY
And why should we take CBD?
Although we are producing endogenous cannabinoids, the body can need further support with different types and stages of diseases/ imbalances. Endogenous cannabinoids are being decomposed after a short period - the balancing process is therefore rather short- than long-term. When CBD enters the body, it does not attach to the receptors but serves as an inhibitor against the decomposition of endogenous cannabinoids. Like this, CBD supports the creation of new cannabinoids. As a result, more cannabinoids stimulate more receptors and trigger more intense anti-stress and healing processes. CBD can be seen as a great supporter of our own Cannabinoid-System.
